There is an illegal trade of drug in Colombia; it refers to practice of the distribution and producing illegal drug with psychoactive effect in Republic of Colombia. Country had four major cartels of drug Trafficking that were eventually created new social class as well as influenced in several aspects of the culture of Colombia. Coca, and other drug had part of lifestyle of indigenous persons,
 

but worldwide demand of the psychoactive drug during 1960s and 70s increased eventually the processing and producing of these in the Country. A Prohibition law was implemented in Colombian and United States to perceived negative effect of drugs in the society.

 

Kidnappings

It refers to practice of kidnapping in Republic of Colombia. Criminal practice was introduced first in the modern Colombian history; it was during early 1970s by guerrilla movement and by criminal groups. With release of the Colombian presidential candidate named Ingrid Betancourt on the 2 nd July 2008 practice gained a worldwide notoriety. Since 1970s kidnapping in country increased gradually until 2001, while in year 2000 a number of kidnapped people in country rose to 3572, number declined steadily in following years, number reached at 687 in year 2006.

 


In year 2003, a club bombing with a terrorist attack occurred in the Bogota, it happened as a car with 200 kg of a highly explosives was parked in garage on the third floor of multi-story Nogal club exploded, a killing of 36 people and over 300 were wounded. About 600 people were there in building at the explosion time. It was a worst attack for more than decades. Vice President of Country Francisco blamed guerrilla group for FARC, there was a "slightest doubt" that guerrilla were responsible and government had much evidence of their involvement. Investigators and authorities of Colombia with ATF aid from U.S, inspected scene and remains of car bomb.
