Tayrona National Natural Park

It is protected area in northern Caribbean region of Colombia; it is within jurisdiction of Department of Magdalena and 34 kilometers from the city of Santa Marta. Park presents biodiversity endemic to area of Sierra Nevada mountain ranges that are presenting with variety of some climates as well as geographical ranges from sea level to near 900 meters over the sea level.
 

Park covers 30 kilometers square of a maritime area in Caribbean Sea and about 150 kilometers square of land. Park was created by 191t Law of Colombian Institute for the Agrarian Reform in order to guarantee protection of region and preserving of ecological environment.

 

Bogota

It is Capital city of Colombia, and most famous in country as well, having 6,776,009 inhabitants. City with its metropolitan area includes municipalities such as Cota, Chia, Soacha and La Calera. An estimated population of city was 8,244,980 that is largest population in any city of Colombia. Altitude of country makes it third-highest city in world, after La Paz. With libraries and universities city has become known as the Athens of the South America. It was originally called as "Bacata" by Muiscas. City was center of civilization before Spanish explorers by colonized area; it is sustained as large population. Settlements of Europe was founded on the 6 th of August by Gonzalo Quesada and was named after birth place of "Santa Fe d Bacata".

 

Magdalena River

It is also called as Yuma River, it is a principal rive of country, flowing northward about 1,540 kilometers through water half of country. River is navigable through much of lower reaches; it is in spite of shifting the sand bars at mouth of delta, at downstream base of rapids, Magdalena River flows through Magdalena Valley. Headwaters of River are in south of country, where Cordillera and Central separate in the Huila Department. River runs at east of north in great valley between two cordilleras.
